Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the facilities maintenance team to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of multi-family units
  • Manage unit turns and renovations, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize the lifespan of all systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors for the provision of outsourced maintenance and repair services.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and security protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide training, guidance, and feedback to maintenance staff.
  • Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance and repair activities and provide recommendations for improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing in facilities maintenance with teams of 15 or more.
  • A degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; proficiency in the use of testing equipment.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle emergency situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is preferred.
