We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to oversee our company's financial operations and to guide key strategic decisions. This role will be pivotal in driving the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with exceptional strategic planning and operational skills. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, and month-end procedures, while ensuring the company's financial policies adhere to all regulatory and ethical standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all accounting, audit, tax, treasury, purchasing for small non-profit organization
2. Develop and implement the strategic financial plan, budget, and forecast
3. Conduct analysis of financial risks and market conditions that may impact the company.
4. Lead contract negotiations to optimize terms and conditions for the organization.
5. Prepare comprehensive month-end reports and present findings and recommendations to the board of directors.
6. Ensure compliance with the law and the company's policies.
7. Manage relationships with partners and investors.
8. Implement strategies to drive cost reductions and improve financial performance.
9. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in non-profit industry.
3. Proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, contract negotiations, and month-end processes.
4. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, risk management, and corporate finance principles.
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
7. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
