We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Director of Financial Operations to join our team in the medical industry. This role is responsible for the overall financial management of the organization, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The Director of Financial Operations will also be involved in supporting presentations to the board finance and audit committee and will work closely with senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation.
2. Develop and implement financial strategies for the organization.
3. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
4. Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and forecasts of future earnings or expenses.
5. Develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard financial assets of the organization.
6. Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
7. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
8. Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
9. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
10. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans and manage capital request and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
1. CPA or MBA required.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
3. Minimum of 5 years experience in financial management, preferably in the medical industry.
4. Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change and development within a growing organization.
5. Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
6. Superior management skills; ability to influence and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to senior management, board or other outside partners.
8. Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
9. Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still seeing the big picture and understanding how all of the pieces fit together and affect one another.
10. Ability to anticipate future needs of the organization and willingness to take calculated risks to drive the success of the organization.
