We are seeking an exceptional Director of Forensic Engineering to join our forward-thinking and dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead our Forensic Engineering department, working on high-profile projects that require a keen eye for detail, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of engineering principles. Our ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional engineer with a passion for forensic engineering and investigations. This role requires a minimum of 20 years of experience in the field, with a proven track record of successful project management and team leadership. PEng is required! The salary range for the role is 110-130K US / 150-175K CAN.

Responsibilities:

As the Director of Forensic Engineering, your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading and managing the Forensic Engineering department, including the supervision and mentoring of junior and mid-level engineers.
2. Conducting and overseeing detailed forensic investigations to determine the cause of structural or mechanical failures.
3. Developing and implementing forensic restoration plans for structures or mechanical systems that have sustained damage.
4. Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to ensure that all forensic investigations and restorations are carried out efficiently and effectively.
5. Providing expert advice and consulting services to clients on matters related to forensic engineering and restoration.
6. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in forensic engineering and restoration, and applying this knowledge to improve our services and operations.
7. Ensuring that all work carried out by the Forensic Engineering department complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Permanent Director of Forensic Engineering position, you must have the following qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or related field). A Master's degree or PhD would be highly advantageous.
2. A minimum of 20 years of experience in engineering, with a focus on structural or mechanical system failures.
3. A valid Professional Engineer (PEng) license.
4. Extensive experience in conducting forensic investigations and developing forensic restoration plans.
5. Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and supervising junior and mid-level engineers.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
8. A high level of integrity, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.
