A bit about us:

As one of Buffalo's top places to work, we are a leading law firm looking to bring on a Director of Human Resources. Our firm employs over 150 across western New York and has grown over 15% year over year for the last 3 years! We are looking for a strong leader in HR to lead the strategic and project based side of the HR team. This role will report to the CFO & be a key liaison between stakeholders and the HR team.

Reason for hiring: This role is a new creation as the person covering many of the duties will be supporting the operations side of the business, opening up a full time role for a strategic leader to join the team. There will be no direct reports to this hire, at this time.

Job Details

Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in HR or related field
  • 7+ Years of HR Leadership experience within a professional services or corporate environment
  • Experienced in building strategies, analyzing data, trends and results to create new processes
  • Team Player: "can do" attitude, not a "not in my job description" attitude!

Duties:
  • Build strategies around Talent Acquisition and Retainment, bring fresh ideas for employee wellness & 401(k) plans
  • Work with team to improve existing process of Employee Onboarding
  • Implement training programs
  • Payroll oversight and Benefits Administration
  • Leverage HRIS systems to build processes
  • General HR Operations: manage metrics and reporting, records and compliance etc.
