Job Qualifications:
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and continuous improvement.
- Determine staffing needs and collaborate with HR to ensure consistent coverage within budget constraints.
- Represent the nursing department in interdisciplinary meetings and organizational committees.
- Oversee individualized healthcare plans to promote independence and overall well-being.
- Collaborate with medical professionals, therapists, and care providers to ensure holistic client care.
- Manage crisis situations and serious events involving clients.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure regulatory compliance and promote best practices.
- Manage ongoing quality assurance programs and implement corrective action plans as needed.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, including the District of Columbia and Maryland Boards of Nursing.
- Oversee the department budget to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Manage documentation, health records, and electronic healthcare systems (e.g., CRISP and HRST).
- Stay informed about healthcare regulations and industry trends.
Job Qualifications:
- 7+ years of nursing experience, including 5 years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree preferred
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing in both Maryland and the District of Columbia.
- Experience with intellectual disabilities, mental health, or behavioral health
- Proven experience managing a departmental budget
- Experience with Internal and external audit compliance and reporting
- Proficient with crisis management and risk mitigation.
