Job Details

Job Responsibilities:
  • Decision-Making Authority: Lead the health services department with the autonomy to make key decisions that impact patient care and operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and ensure that all aspects of the health services department remain compliant with both state and federal laws.
  • Staff Oversight: Manage and support a team of six healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative environment and encouraging professional growth.
  • Policy and Procedure Compliance: Regularly review and update health services policies and procedures to ensure they meet or exceed Joint Commission standards and state regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in service delivery, patient safety, and operational efficiency, and implement strategies to address these areas.
  • Medication Management: Oversee the entire medication process, including prescribing, dispensing, and administration, to ensure safe and effective practices in line with behavioral health best practices.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments and external partners to ensure integrated care and a unified approach to behavioral health treatment.

Job Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Current and active RN license.
  • 5+ years of experience in a healthcare management role, with a focus on behavioral health preferred.
  • Proven ability to make independent, high-stakes decisions in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of Joint Commission standards and state healthcare regulations.
  • Experience in managing a small team, with demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Deep knowledge of medication management processes in a behavioral health context.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
