We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Director of OB to join our team in the medical industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the OB department, ensuring the highest level of patient care, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the OB department, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery units.
  • Ensure that all patient care is delivered in accordance with the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure the efficient operation of the hospital.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Monitor and maintain departmental budgets, including staffing and supply costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in hospital committees and other activities as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse in North Carolina or a Compact state is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a charge nurse or supervisor in OB.
  • Prior experience working in an acute care setting.
  • AA in Nursing.
  • BLS is required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
