Job Duties:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Align business operations with company goals, ensuring long-term growth and stability.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and financial performance of operations.
Project & Workforce Management
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and completion to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Manage scheduling and dispatching of crews for power restoration and emergency response.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop field supervisors, project managers, and field personnel.
  • Ensure proper workforce training and certification compliance for linemen and technicians.
Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Enforce strict adherence to OSHA, NESC, and other industry safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs to minimize risks and ensure a culture of safety.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
Operations & Process Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to optimize field operations, reduce downtime, and increase efficiency.
  • Implement technology solutions for better project tracking, workforce management, and reporting.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for consistent and efficient workflows.
Customer & Stakeholder Relations
  • Serve as the key point of contact for utility companies, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by maintaining high service quality and responsiveness.
  • Develop and manage contracts, negotiations, and vendor partnerships.
Financial & Budget Oversight
  • Manage operational budgets, cost controls, and financial forecasting.
  • Optimize expenditures related to labor, materials, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and profit margins are maintained.
Emergency Response & Crisis Management
  • Lead emergency response efforts during power outages, natural disasters, and critical failures.
  • Coordinate with local authorities, utility companies, and field crews for rapid response.
  • Develop and refine emergency preparedness plans for various scenarios.
Equipment & Asset Management
  • Oversee fleet and equipment maintenance, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Manage procurement of tools, materials, and technology needed for efficient operations.
  • Ensure proper inventory management and availability of critical supplies.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
  • Establish KPIs and track operational performance to measure success.
  • Provide regular reports on project status, financials, and workforce efficiency.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making to improve overall business performance.
Industry Engagement & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Represent AC Power Solutions in industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Job Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in operations leadership within the electrical utility or storm response industry.
  • Strong understanding of IBEW unions and utility companies’ processes.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA, NESC), project management, and team leadership.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
