We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Permanent Director of Organ Procurement Operations. This key leadership role is crucial in overseeing organ procurement operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, and driving continuous improvement in operational efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transplantation, a deep understanding of the healthcare industry, and a proven track record of leadership in a complex, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all aspects of organ procurement operations, including procurement, transportation, and preservation.
2. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as standards set by regulatory bodies such as the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS).
3. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, including the use of technology and process improvements.
4. Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, transplant centers, and organ procurement organizations.
7. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
8. Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the sustainability and growth of the organ procurement program.
9. Stay abreast of advancements in the field of transplantation, incorporating best practices into operations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in organ transplantation or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
3. In-depth knowledge of organ procurement operations and regulatory standards.
4. Proven experience in strategic planning, operational improvement, and team leadership.
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
7. High degree of professionalism and ethical standards, with a commitment to patient care and outcomes.
8. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
9. Proficiency in relevant software and technology, including electronic medical records systems and data analysis tools.
