We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Director of Pharmacy to join our team in the medical industry. As a Director of Pharmacy, you will be responsible for overseeing the pharmacy department and ensuring the safe and effective use of medication. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care for our patients. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement policies and procedures for the pharmacy department to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management
• Ensure the safe and effective use of medication by reviewing and verifying medication orders, monitoring drug interactions, and providing drug information to healthcare professionals
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement medication therapy plans for patients
• Provide leadership and guidance to pharmacy staff, including training and development opportunities
• Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Participate in hospital committees and workgroups to provide input on medication-related issues
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all pharmacy-related activities

Qualifications:

• Graduate of college of pharmacy
• WV licensed Pharmacist
• 3 years of management experience
• Hospital Pharmacy experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals from a variety of disciplines
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively
