JOB SUMMARY
The Director-Pharmacy provides effective leadership of staff to foster a professional and productive work environment and a sustained safe and efficient operation of existing pharmacy programs/services along with the identification and development of new initiatives and innovative ideas

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plans, organizes and directs retail, regional and hospital pharmacy services in compliance with all accreditation, certification and federal/state regulatory requirements.
• Extensive knowledge of Pharmacology, of compounding and dispensing and control procedures
• Ability to exercise good, proressional judgment and accept responsibility,
• Supervise work activities of supportive personnel,
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with other people,
• Understand and follow complex oral and written communication, perform duties accurately,
• Efficiently while often under stress,
• Communicate with and motivate staff
• Ability to develop and follow a budget
• Ability to provide positive leadership and ability to delegate appropriately

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Experience: At least three (3) years experience managing a hospital pharmacy.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Minnesota license to practice Pharmacy.
