Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Procurement to join our team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement management, contract management, vendor qualification, and negotiation. As the Director of Procurement, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process from start to finish. You will be responsible for ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives
  • Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring that they meet the company's standards for quality and compliance
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new vendors and suppliers, and evaluate their capabilities and pricing
  • Develop and maintain a vendor qualification process, ensuring that all vendors are qualified and approved before engaging in business with the
company
  • Develop and maintain a scope control process, ensuring that all procurement activities are aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Manage the procurement budget, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted within budgetary constraints
  • Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures, ensuring that all procurement activities are conducted in compliance with industry
standards and regulations

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in procurement management, contract management, vendor qualification, and negotiation
  • Familiar with the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve procurement issues in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to procurement and contract management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
