We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to rebuild and lead our in-house billing department for a large, out-of-network surgical practice. As we transition from outsourced billing, we are looking for a visionary leader with at least 5 years of experience in a private physician practice to establish efficient processes and optimize revenue cycle performance.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Revenue Cycle to rebuild and lead our in-house billing department for a large, out-of-network surgical practice. As we transition from outsourced billing, we are looking for a visionary leader with at least 5 years of experience in a private physician practice to establish efficient processes and optimize revenue cycle performance.
Responsibilities:
- Rebuild and lead the in-house billing department.
- Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient billing, insurance claims processing, and collections.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle performance and improve cash flow.
- Manage and train a team of billing specialists and ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Negotiate contracts with third-party payers and vendors.
- Stay current with industry regulations, including the No Surprise Act.
- Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management.
- Implement and maintain a robust electronic health record (EHR) system, preferably EClinicalWorks (ECW).
- Manage lockbox services, ERA, EFT, and other payment processing systems.
- Experience with Echo, Payspan, Jopari, Virtual Credit Cards, or similar services is a plus.
- Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets and PowerBI is essential.
- Experience with QuickBooks is a bonus.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management for a private physician practice.
- Strong understanding of the No Surprise Act and its implications for out-of-network providers.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Experience with EClinicalWorks (ECW) is highly preferred.
