Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Strategic Sourcing to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our fast-growing organization in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will lead and manage all aspects of sourcing strategy to effectively manage costs and ensure the company's competitiveness in the marketplace. The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of global markets and excellent negotiation skills.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies that support the company's business goals and objectives.

2. Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and conditions.

3. Manage supplier relationships and performance, ensuring high levels of service and quality.

4. Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and potential partnerships.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify sourcing needs and requirements.

6. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements.

7. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

8. Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand and conduct risk management for supply contracts and agreements.

9. Oversee a team of sourcing specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or other relevant post-graduate qualification is highly desirable.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in the manufacturing industry.

3. Proven track record of managing supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.

4. Strong understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement.

5. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.

6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team.

7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

8. Proficiency in procurement software and other related IT systems.

9. Strong project management and decision-making skills.

10. Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
