Director of Structural Engineering SE/PE
We are seeking a Director of Structural Engineering to lead our Structural Engineering department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing structural design projects, ensuring technical excellence, managing a team of engineers, and driving business development efforts. The Director will collaborate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, efficient, and innovative structural engineering solutions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required; SE license preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Strong technical expertise in structural analysis, design software, and construction practices.
  • Excellent leadership, team management, and mentorship skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and client relationship management skills. Business Development is a plus.
Duties
  • Lead and manage the Structural Engineering department, ensuring high standards in design and project execution.
  • Oversee the planning, analysis, and design of structural systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial developments.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to the engineering team.
  • Train junior engineers and ensure the team stays up to date with industry advancements, codes, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in business development activities, including client engagement, proposal development, and project bidding.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Stay current with advancements in structural engineering, materials, and construction methods to drive innovation.
  • Represent Firm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
