Focus areas may include:
Qualifications:
- Leads strategy and oversight for outsourcing activities related to financial operations in healthcare revenue management
- Manages external vendor relationships to support performance, mitigate risk, and deliver value across a multi-facility system
- Drives development and execution of process improvement programs focused on optimizing financial outcomes
- Ensures alignment of vendor management efforts with internal policies and operational goals
- Oversees multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring progress and follow-through across initiatives
- May conduct analysis of entire revenue cycle processes and identify areas for performance enhancement
Focus areas may include:
- Front-end financial operations such as preregistration, insurance validation, payment counseling, and enrollment assistance
- Mid-cycle operations including claim generation, identifying and correcting anomalies in billing trends using large-scale data analysis
- Oversight of difficult-to-resolve accounts including denials and third-party payer claims, supporting cross-departmental resolution
- Managing patient payment strategies including vendor relationships for early-out and collections, driving digital engagement and education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 8–10 years in healthcare finance or revenue cycle management, with at least 5 years in hospital-based roles
- Broad understanding of patient access, coding, billing, collections, and associated technologies
- Experience with enterprise systems and clearinghouse platforms
- Proven ability to manage vendor agreements and lead contract reviews to support organizational needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a track record of collaboration
- Skilled in interpreting data trends and owning action plans based on performance metrics
- Comfortable driving both tactical execution and long-term process change
- Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with SQL and enterprise software tools a plus
