We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director - Tax & Treasury to join our dynamic, International client. This pivotal role will be in charge of managing our company's tax and treasury functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes, managing the treasury team, and overseeing cash flow, cash management, working capital, and company audits. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and an exceptional eye for detail.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute strategic tax planning strategies and initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and costs.
2. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
3. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, reports, and other related documents.
4. Manage treasury operations including cash forecasting, cash operations, debt management, and capital management.
5. Lead and coordinate activities of internal and external auditors.
6. Advise management on the impact of new laws on tax liabilities.
7. Manage the organization's insurance programs.
8. Develop and maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
9. Conduct regular treasury audits to ensure procedures and policies are followed.
10. Manage relationships with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax and treasury role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
4. In-depth knowledge of Canadian Tax, IAS 12, ASC 740, and 13 Week Cash Forecast.
5. Strong understanding of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
6. Proven experience with corporate taxation, audits, and treasury operations.
7. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide a team.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
10. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. Proficiency in relevant software, including Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation and financial analysis software.
