We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Division Director for our new location in Santa Cruz.
**This is a hybrid position based in Santa Cruz, CA with an expectation of on-site presence 3 days/week minimum, including oversight of evening and weekend coverage schedules as needed. Occasional travel to Turlock, CA and other locations also required.

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Mental Health Division Director for our new location in Santa Cruz.

Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Development - leading the daily operations of the Crisis Stabilization Unit and Children's Crisis Psychiatric Program, Serving as leadership liaison with county, state and community partners to advocate for align services within regulatory and funding requirements, develop and implement program models to meet the acute youth psychiatric needs.
- Site Operations & Compliance - Ensure compliance with all licensing, funding and agency policy requirements, Oversee incident reporting, grievance resolution and risk management, Manage staff performance, hiring and training
- Fiscal Oversight & Planning - Manage budgeting and financial planning, Oversee grant applications, Continuous Quality Improvement
- Staff Development & Collaboration - Provide leadership, coaching and professional development opportunities for program directors and staff, Facilitate Collaboration between divisions to ensure integrated care approaches, Coordinate cross-program training initiatives, Travel as needed to support staff, build community partnerships and represent our organization at key events and meetings.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or licensed Psychologist.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role equivalent to a Director managing site operations and team leadership
- Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record
- Fingerprint/DOJ clearance, Child Abuse Index, TB/Health clearance
- Experience launching or managing a 24/7 youth crisis or residential care setting is highly preferred
- Familiarity with Medi-Cal billing, DHCS regulations and CCL requirements
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams with working with public health/funder contracts is highly preferred
