We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Drywall Estimator to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to our success as it involves the accurate estimation of costs for various drywall projects. It is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the construction industry and looking to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing company.

Responsibilities:

As a Drywall Estimator, you will be responsible for:

1. Analyzing and interpreting blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects.
2. Conducting detailed quantity take-offs and utilizing estimating software such as bid2win and OST.
3. Preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for drywall projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
4. Working closely with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and other team members to ensure accurate estimates.
5. Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and negotiate pricing.
6. Participating in bid review meetings with project management and clients to discuss scope of work and strategy.
7. Reviewing design options and recommending best solutions based on cost, quality, and availability of materials.
8. Keeping abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology to continually improve estimation accuracy.
9. Participating in post-project reviews to compare actual costs to estimated costs and making necessary adjustments for future estimates.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in drywall estimation, preferably with a focus on commercial projects and remodels.
2. Proficiency in using estimating software.
3. A strong understanding of drywall installation, restoration, and remodeling processes.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with a keen eye for detail.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. The ability to interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
7. A proven track record of preparing accurate and competitive estimates.
8. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
9. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
