Education Law Attorney | 1900 Hours | Bonus Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Education Law Attorney to join our dynamic legal team serving public school districts across Western Pennsylvania. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney who is passionate about education, governance, and public service.
Our team provides comprehensive legal services to public school districts, combining depth of experience with a broad range of practice areas. You will serve as trusted counsel to school boards and administrators, helping them navigate complex and evolving legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
Attend open meetings and executive sessions to provide on-the-spot legal guidance.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, policies, and administrative regulations.
Advise on compliance with state and federal laws, including the Public School Code, Sunshine Law, Public Records Act, Right-to-Know Law, State Ethics Act, and Title IX.
Counsel on matters involving parliamentary rules of order (Robert’s Rules), procurement, intergovernmental cooperation, and debt compliance.
Advise on constitutional issues, including First and Fourth Amendment rights.
Handle student matters, including residency, attendance, discipline, truancy, transportation, and special education compliance.
Guide school personnel on labor and employment matters, collective bargaining, arbitration, and unfair labor practices.
Represent districts in litigation, administrative proceedings, arbitration, and mediation.
Provide counsel on construction projects, contracts, tax and finance issues, assessment appeals, and property tax collection.
Support districts with emerging issues such as social media, intellectual property rights, and privacy compliance.

Job Details
J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to practice in Pennsylvania.
Prior experience in education law, public sector law, or related fields strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of Pennsylvania education statutes, regulations, and governance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, practical guidance to school boards and administrators.
A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to the unique needs of each school district.
Prior experience in education law, public sector law, or related fields strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of Pennsylvania education statutes, regulations, and governance.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, practical guidance to school boards and administrators.
