Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Lead and manage employee health, safety, and environmental programs.
Partner with facility leadership to build EHS capabilities and drive compliance initiatives.
Implement programs aimed at reducing workplace injuries and vehicle collisions.
Conduct EHS inspections, audits, and effectiveness evaluations.
Serve as the facility EHS subject matter expert on regulatory requirements.
Identify improvement opportunities and deploy best practices.
Manage compliance programs involving:
Ergonomics
Asbestos
Ammonia
Wastewater
Stormwater
Hazardous materials
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and RCRA requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and develop contingency plans.
Assist with corrective action plans and facility gap assessments.
Participate in Workers' Compensation claim reviews.
Analyze EHS metrics and maintain scorecards, dashboards, and databases.
Coordinate permit applications and responses with regulatory agencies.
Develop emergency preparedness programs and response teams.
Deliver EHS awareness and compliance training to employees.
Participate in crisis management activities during significant incidents.
Support additional EHS initiatives and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications Needed:

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science, Risk Management, or related field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, OR
High School Diploma/GED with 9+ years of EHS experience.
Minimum 6 years of experience in safety, environmental compliance, and/or risk management.
Strong experience implementing and managing EHS programs in manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and RCRA regulations.
Proven ability to conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
Experience developing and delivering EHS training programs.
Strong analytical skills utilizing EHS metrics and dashboards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to translate technical information to non-technical audiences.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Ability to pass background check and drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications
Food and beverage manufacturing experience.
People leadership experience.
Lean Six Sigma knowledge.
Progress toward or possession of CSP, CIH, or related certifications.
Experience identifying and controlling chemical, biological, ergonomic, and physical hazards.
Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 management systems.
