We are seeking an experienced and passionate EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) Manager to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The EHS Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining the safety and environmental compliance of our organization, ensuring that our operations are not only productive, but also safe, sustainable, and responsible. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to apply their skills in risk assessment, industrial safety, environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and safety training in a challenging and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs, policies, and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
2. Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential environmental, health, and safety risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
3. Lead and conduct comprehensive risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance with all relevant environmental and safety regulations.
4. Develop and implement effective strategies for hazardous waste management, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient disposal of all hazardous materials.
5. Provide training and education to all staff members on critical EHS protocols and procedures.
6. Lead incident investigations, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, HR, and management, to foster a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.
8. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry best practices, ensuring the company's EHS policies and procedures are up-to-date.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Demonstrated expertise in risk assessment, industrial safety, environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and safety training.
4. In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant environmental and safety standards.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey complex EHS concepts to a diverse audience.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
8. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
