We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Permanent EHS Manager to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to oversee and enhance the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives within our manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting environmental awareness across the organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage the company's EHS strategy to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
3. Lead accident investigations, analyze incidents, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
4. Develop and deliver safety training programs to educate employees on EHS regulations, best practices, and company policies.
5. Promote a culture of environmental awareness and safety consciousness within the organization.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions and operations.
7. Stay abreast of emerging EHS trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure the company's compliance and competitive advantage.
8. Manage environmental documentation, including permits, reports, and records, ensuring all are current, complete, and in compliance with laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an EHS role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of environmental compliance, risk assessment, environmental awareness, safety training, and accident investigation.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) certification is preferred.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify and understand complex EHS issues and develop effective solutions.
7. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey EHS concepts to a diverse audience.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
9. Ability to travel as needed to support company operations and initiatives.
