Job Details
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Qualifications – Needed
- Develop, implement, and update safety programs, policies, and procedures.
- Conduct workplace audits, inspections, and hazard assessments.
- Research and recommend safety equipment; oversee inspections and calibrations.
- Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, and illnesses; implement corrective actions.
- Deliver new hire orientation, annual training, and maintain compliance records.
- Maintain OSHA 300 log and other required safety records.
- Administer Process Safety Management (PSM) and EPA compliance programs.
- Lead the company safety committee and departmental meetings.
- Oversee contractor safety program and workers’ compensation claims.
- Provide first aid and coordinate injury treatment.
- Liaise with regulators during inspections.
- Perform industrial hygiene sampling and coordinate MSDS updates.
Qualifications – Needed
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of safety management experience in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience with PSM and EPA reporting.
- CPR and First Aid certified (or willing to obtain).
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred but not required.
