Are you passionate about creating innovative electrical solutions and designs? We are seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer with expertise in building systems to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing all aspects of electrical components, equipment, and machinery related to building systems. You will apply your knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as building wiring systems, lighting systems, power distribution, and other high-demand electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop electrical systems for buildings, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and efficient.
2. Use specialized software, including AutoCAD 3D, Revit, and other CAD drafting tools to create detailed diagrams and schematics.
3. Participate in the conceptual development of a construction project and oversee its organization, scheduling, and implementation.
4. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards and specifications.
5. Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand building specifications and to ensure that all electrical designs are integrated smoothly.
6. Supervise and train project team members as necessary, providing guidance and support.
7. Conduct research to diagnose and develop solutions to electrical malfunctions.
8. Comply with safety standards and local electrical codes.
9. Prepare and present technical reports summarizing project details and proposals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in power system design, particularly in building systems.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D, Revit, and other CAD drafting tools.
4. In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems.
5. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex electrical systems in buildings.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
