We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 6–10+ years of experience in the design and implementation of technology-focused Architectural/Engineering building projects. The role involves working through all project phases, including existing conditions assessments, design development, construction documents (drawings and specifications), and construction administration. Position Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 6–10+ years of experience in the design and implementation of technology-focused Architectural/Engineering building projects. The role involves working through all project phases, including existing conditions assessments, design development, construction documents (drawings and specifications), and construction administration. Project work includes Data Centers, Critical Infrastructure Buildings, and Mission Critical Healthcare Facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical power systems for mission critical environments, data centers, and healthcare facilities.
- Work across all project phases: condition assessments, reporting, design development, and construction administration.
- Produce high-quality construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Present design options to internal teams, architects, and clients for evaluation and decision-making.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, clients, engineers, and other trades throughout design and construction.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously within a collaborative team environment.
- Conduct fieldwork, site assessments, and construction observations as needed to support project tasks.
- Provide technical expertise for complex, mission-critical engineering challenges.
- Ensure compliance with construction principles, electrical engineering best practices, and project requirements.
- Participate in meetings, respond to inquiries, and support overall project delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
- 8+ years of experience designing power systems for mission critical projects, data centers, or healthcare facilities.
- PE license or EIT certification preferred.
- Demonstrated experience designing electrical power systems on technically complex projects.
- Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and related tools.
- Strong understanding of all A/E design disciplines and cross-disciplinary project coordination.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interface with architects, clients, engineers, and trade personnel.
- Skilled in presenting design options and technical recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong time-management and budgeting skills to meet project schedules and deliverables.
- Proven ability to work productively within a team environment on multiple design and construction projects.
- Field experience with a solid understanding of construction methods, systems, and best practices.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed to support project activities.
