Job Summary:

Responsible for the development and management of electrical systems design for new rigs, refurbishment, modification/upgrade, and maintenance activities. Key duties include drafting oversight, parts selection, cost estimating, and field supervision of electrical-related matters. Additionally, the role involves design prototyping, technical support to other departments, compliance with regulatory codes, and maintaining knowledge of industry technical and safety standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 4-8 years of experience in AC power systems for the drilling industry.
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 3-7 years of electrical or controls and automation experience.
Proficient in creating and correcting electrical drawings, performing engineering calculations, and presenting technical information effectively.
Sound engineering judgment regarding safety-critical systems.
General computer proficiency and a valid driver's license.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in drilling or design engineering for a drilling industry supplier.
Professional Engineering License or Engineer in Training (E.I.T) certification.- Preferred not Required
Automation and instrumentation experience.
Proficiency in drafting software (AutoCAD, Solidworks electrical, Promise-E, or RS-Wire).
Familiarity with power system analysis and modeling software (ETAP, SKM, etc.).
PLC and HMI programming skills, Visual Basic, and Visual C++.
Knowledge of oilfield regulatory requirements and drafting principles.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

Physical demands include occasional sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 45 pounds, and specific vision abilities.
Work environment may involve climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crawling, talking, hearing, and smelling.
