Job Details
Perform detailed electrical design of lighting, power distribution, alarms, and communications, including voltage drop calculations, generator and transformer sizing, substation and ground grid design and analysis.
Conduct roadway lighting and photometric calculations using AGI 32 software.
Design Intelligent Transportation Systems, including fiber optic cable sizing, CCTV, and vehicle detection device selection.
Utilize SKM Power Tools.
Attend site visits and client meetings.
Compile milestone deliverables (calculations, drawings, specs, etc.) consistent with client standards.
Organize both physical and digital project documentation.
Prepare new and modify existing drawings in AutoCAD, REVIT, or Microstation.
Coordinate with project team members, including engineers, technicians, and management.
Participate in the QA/QC process to maintain the quality of work completed by staff.
Prioritize tasks and balance workload according to project needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering, M.S. preferred.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience.
Illinois PE license required.
Experience with CADD solutions, including Microstation, AutoCAD, and Revit.
Solid knowledge of electrical trade practices, standards, and building codes.
Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
