We are in search of a seasoned Electrical Engineer with a strong background in the construction industry. This is a permanent position with a focus on designing and developing electrical systems for construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a substantial understanding and hands-on experience in Engineering, RCDD, Federal, and Governmental work. Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Engineer, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Designing, developing, and testing electrical equipment and systems, including power distribution and lighting systems for construction projects.
2. Collaborating with architects and engineers to determine the best specifications for electrical systems.
3. Conducting research and analysis to solve complex technical issues related to electrical systems.
4. Preparing detailed electrical system designs, diagrams, technical reports, and cost estimates.
5. Ensuring all designs and installations comply with federal, state, and local electrical codes.
6. Overseeing the installation, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality.
7. Coordinating with project managers and other professionals on large-scale construction projects.
8. Providing expert advice and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
9. Participating in project meetings and providing updates on progress and challenges.
10. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments and innovations in electrical engineering and the construction industry.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
3. A valid Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification.
4. Proven experience working on federal and governmental projects.
5. Excellent knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and lighting in construction.
6. Proficiency in using design and calculation software.
7. A solid understanding of electrical engineering codes and safety standards.
8. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
9. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
10. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
