Job Details
We’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Electrical Estimator / Service Manager to join our growing team in the Hudson Valley. This role combines commercial project estimating with coordination of our residential service department, offering a unique opportunity to lead in both arenas.
You'll be responsible for preparing competitive bids on commercial projects, managing vendor and subcontractor coordination, and overseeing scheduling and execution. On the residential side, you’ll review service requests, provide pricing, and coordinate electricians to ensure top-quality service and customer satisfaction.

On the residential side, you’ll review service requests, provide pricing, and coordinate electricians to ensure top-quality service and customer satisfaction.

What You’ll Do:
🧮 Estimating & Project Coordination (Commercial):
- Review and understand contract documents, plans, specs, and change orders.
- Co-develop and maintain project schedules.
- Manage project budgets and conduct job costing.
- Prepare and review estimates, bids, and change orders.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on project profitability.
- Review vendor and subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing.
- Prepare AIA invoices and monitor project milestones.
- Maintain logs and meeting minutes for accurate progress tracking.
- Communicate with homeowners and service clients.
- Review jobsite photos/data and develop pricing for quoted work.
- Schedule and coordinate field electricians.
- Provide scope details and material lists.
- Guide electricians through CHG&E 311 forms, permitting, and inspection paperwork.
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical estimating or a related field.
- Solid understanding of commercial and residential electrical systems.
- Familiarity with estimating tools/software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and permitting requirements.
- Experience navigating utility forms (CHG&E), inspection paperwork, and coordinating with AHJs.
