Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Attend turnover meetings and formally hand over projects to designated Project Managers
Assist Project Managers with submittals, RFIs, and pricing change orders
Review and understand scope, contractual, and notice provisions of contracts
Perform detailed and accurate quality takeoffs, proposals, and bids
Handle subcontractor and vendor bid solicitations
Develop and implement effective bid strategies
Attend onsite pre-bid meetings and complete required training/background checks
Accurately clarify and interpret subcontractor/vendor quotes, verify specifications, and ensure owner requirements are met
Facilitate bid review meetings
Identify critical items within bids
Read and interpret project specifications and construction drawings; perform basic risk analysis
Submit and incorporate bid items into estimating software
Calmly and constructively manage disagreements, conflicts, and crises as needed

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in the electrical construction field
Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment and effectively plan, prioritize, and organize work
Able to work independently, collaborate across teams and organizational levels, and take initiative
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Accubid estimating software
Experience with Bluebeam software
Electrical field experience in a leadership role is a plus
