Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
2. Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects.
3. Conduct take-offs from construction drawings and generate cost estimates and proposals.
4. Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
5. Understand and comply with all relevant electrical codes and standards.
6. Collaborate with contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to provide cost estimates.
7. Prepare and present budget reports to management and stakeholders.
8. Use specialized software such as Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Accubid for estimating tasks.
9. Continually review and update cost estimating tools and methodologies.
10. Participate in bid and proposal presentations, explaining estimates to stakeholders and clients.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, specifically in the industrial and commercial sectors.
3. Proficient in analyzing construction blueprints and knowledgeable in construction practices.
4. Strong understanding of electrical systems and compliance with Electrical Codes.
5. Proficiency in using estimating software like Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or Accubid.
6. Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong budgeting skills with the ability to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates.
8. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
9. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
