Due to growth, we are looking to add a skilled Electrical Estimator to the team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in electrical estimating, with a strong understanding of electrical systems, cost estimation, and project management. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical projects, ensuring that all costs are accounted for and within budget.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
2. Utilizing estimation software such as ConEst and Accubid to generate accurate and comprehensive estimates.
3. Designing and drafting electrical systems using CAD software, ensuring adherence to all relevant codes and standards.
4. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
5. Assessing cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
6. Evaluating and managing bids from subcontractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and standards.
7. Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand the scope of work and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
8. Maintaining knowledge of current industry trends, codes, and regulations related to electrical systems and fire alarm systems.
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical estimation
3. Proficiency in estimation software such as ConEst, Accubid, or an alternative.
4. Strong knowledge of CAD for designing and drafting electrical systems.
5. Understanding of electrical systems, fire alarm systems, codes, and standards.
6. Proven experience in preparing accurate estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
7. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
9. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
