Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of electrical projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring that work is carried out to the highest standard, within budget, and on schedule.
- Manage and coordinate the efforts of the project team, which may include engineers, architects, and contractors.
- Utilize your electrical knowledge and engineering skills to solve complex problems and provide innovative solutions.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress and cost tracking reports.
- Manage the bidding process, including the selection of contractors and the negotiation of contracts.
- Ensure all necessary electrical permits are obtained and adhered to throughout the project.
- Use Procore Construction Software to manage project information, documentation, and communication.
- Handle marina and commercial electrical projects, ensuring all work is compliant with industry standards and regulations.
- Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, providing updates and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in project management within the construction industry, with a focus on electrical projects.
- Proven experience in cost tracking, budgeting, and managing complex electrical projects.
- Solid knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge to real-world projects.
- Experience with Procore Construction Software is essential.
- Familiarity with marina and commercial electrical systems, including the ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate a project team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Must possess a valid electrical permit or certification.
