Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment in a lumber production facility.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on saws, conveyors, kilns, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motor controls.

  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA70E, OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.

  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support mill operations.

  • Assist in electrical upgrades, improvement projects, and equipment installations.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS or other tracking systems.

  • Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.

  • Journeyman Electrician License (state-recognized) preferred not required

  • 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience (lumber/wood products industry a plus).

  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control circuits.

  • Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems a plus.

  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
