Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, components, and equipment in a lumber production facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues on saws, conveyors, kilns, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motor controls.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA70E, OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to support mill operations.
- Assist in electrical upgrades, improvement projects, and equipment installations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using CMMS or other tracking systems.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.
- Journeyman Electrician License (state-recognized) preferred not required
- 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing electrician experience (lumber/wood products industry a plus).
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including motors, drives, PLCs, and control circuits.
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems a plus.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.
