Job Details
This position would be part of the product development group and would be responsible for planning, coordinating, and conducting engineering assignments related to electronics design for ECU modules integrated in the interior of the car: ambient lighting systems, overhead lighting, control ECUs and other systems.
Responsibilities:
Design electronics systems (hardware / software) and assure total support and management of the program within the functional area that the product design complies with all product requirements and Final Customer specifications.
Develop the DFMEA and other engineering disciplines if specified by the customer, in relation and specific to the systems being developed. Attend, support and participate in Design and Engineering Reviews. Support and design according to the standardization functional development teams.
Coordinate and follow engineering responsibilities from design concept, through prototype build, pilot, production, and life of the program. Creation of all the deliverables pertaining to the electronics product design.
Coordination of engineering changes through customers and internal system.
Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer requirements. Ensure that the product design complies with all product requirements and FMVSS/CMVSS requirements and any European Legal standards when applicable.
Support develop DVP&R, obtaining customer approval, and initiating all laboratory, bench and simulated product tests in compliance with the DVP&R and for supporting Customers in vehicle tests. Support the Team in the development of new business opportunities from the point of view of the electronics.
Qualifications:
Bachelors in Engineering - Electronics preferred
Experience in similar functions (5 years).
Analytical and problem solving ability.
Previous experience with electrical power systems.
Analytically structured way of thinking and working, as well as very good communication and negotiation skills. Resilient, flexible, capable of working in a team, dealing with conflicts and compromising, and show initiative and ability to moderate.
