Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Lead firmware-related projects and manage large-scale outsourced firmware development initiatives.
- Become a subject matter expert in the microelectronic product portfolio(s).
- Define and establish firmware architecture requirements.
- Write detailed control design specifications for microelectronic systems.
- Develop detailed test specifications for contract manufacturers responsible for microelectronic controls.
- Validate functional test equipment produced by contract manufacturers to ensure compliance with test specifications.
- Maintain configuration information for the microelectronic product portfolio(s).
- Actively participate in cross-functional activities during product development, including team meetings, feature definition sessions, pilot builds, and reviews of user manuals for microelectronic controls.
- Draft engineering change notifications.
- Create detailed test lab orders for lab technician execution.
- Investigate and resolve firmware issues related to microelectronic control operations, conducting root cause analysis as necessary.
- Perform firmware development and testing in a lab environment, using simulators and actual products.
- Identify and implement opportunities for quality and cost improvements.
- Provide production support as needed.
- Manage vendor access to licensed developer applications, development tools, and equipment.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of programming experience.
- Previous project management experience is highly desirable.
- Extensive experience in firmware development, particularly coding in C; experience with lua and UI designer applications such as Storyboard is a plus.
