Job Details

We’re looking to bring on a talented Associate with a strong background in employee benefits and executive compensation to join our Tax Department’s Employee Benefits Practice Group. This is a great opportunity to work at an AmLaw 100 firm on high-level matters involving private equity, public company transactions, and complex regulatory issues.

What We’re Looking For:

4–7 years of experience advising on employee benefits and executive compensation, particularly in the context of mergers & acquisitions—including a strong focus on private equity deals.

Hands-on experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on executive compensation arrangements and public company comp programs.

A solid understanding of compliance issues involving the Internal Revenue Code, ERISA, and related laws that govern benefit plans.

Bonus Experience That’s a Plus:

Familiarity with qualified plans counseling and corrections, ESOPs, and ERISA Title I issues related to fund formation and investment management.

Experience handling the ERISA aspects of transactions involving real estate, private credit, or structured finance.

What You’ll Need:

A J.D. from a top law school, with excellent academic credentials.

A collaborative, client-first mindset and strong written communication skills.

Admission to practice in New York, or eligibility for waiver into the New York Bar.
