The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for generating new business and managing a portfolio of group benefits clients. This role focuses on prospecting, consulting, and delivering customized employee benefits solutions for small to large businesses. The producer acts as a trusted advisor and builds long-term client relationships through industry expertise, strategic planning, and consistent service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and community involvement.

Conduct in-depth needs assessments to identify client-specific employee benefits goals and challenges.

Present tailored benefits solutions including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness programs.

Partner with internal account management and service teams to ensure seamless implementation and ongoing support.

Maintain a robust sales pipeline and meet or exceed individual sales goals and revenue targets.

Negotiate with carriers to obtain the most competitive products and pricing for clients.

Stay current on industry trends, compliance regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA), and product offerings.

Participate in marketing campaigns, renewal meetings, open enrollments, and strategic client reviews.

Act as a liaison between clients and carriers, ensuring client satisfaction and problem resolution.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in the agency’s CRM or AMS system.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Active Life & Health Insurance License required.

2+ years of experience in employee benefits sales, brokerage, or insurance carrier environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of group insurance products and employee benefits marketplace.

Proven ability to develop new business and close sales.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with CRM or agency management systems a plus.
