Job Details

The Employee Benefits Producer is responsible for generating new business opportunities and managing existing client relationships in the employee benefits space. This role focuses on delivering strategic benefit solutions, driving revenue growth, and providing exceptional service and consultation to employers on group benefits plans including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
New Business Development:
Prospect and generate new client leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, and marketing campaigns. Develop and present comprehensive benefits solutions tailored to client needs.

Client Relationship Management:
Maintain and strengthen relationships with clients by delivering consistent communication, proactive service, and renewal strategy planning. Serve as a trusted advisor to HR teams and executives.

Consultative Sales Approach:
Conduct needs assessments and collaborate with clients to develop cost-effective, compliant benefit strategies. Present innovative plan designs, funding arrangements, and wellness initiatives.

Market Expertise & Carrier Negotiation:
Analyze market trends, benchmark data, and carrier offerings. Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to secure the best possible benefits packages for clients.

Renewals & Account Management:
Partner with account managers and service teams to handle renewals, enrollments, claims issues, plan changes, and open enrollment support.

Compliance & Documentation:
Stay up to date with federal and state regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.). Ensure client programs remain compliant and well-documented.

Cross-Selling & Strategic Growth:
Identify opportunities to cross-sell other insurance products and services. Contribute to the overall sales strategy and revenue goals of the agency or brokerage.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in employee benefits sales or account management

Active Life and Health Insurance License

Strong knowledge of group benefit products, funding methods (fully insured, level-funded, self-funded), and compliance regulations

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and highly organized

Familiarity with CRM systems, quoting platforms, and HRIS/BenAdmin systems is a plus
