Job Details

Endoscopy Charge RN is responsible for the routine functioning of the Endoscopy Center.
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and coordinating patient care from admission to discharge. The Charge Nurse is responsible for assisting with the achievement of patient outcomes with the mission of the facility.

Provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center in accordance with physician’s orders, recognized nursing techniques, legal aspects of current nurse practice in the State of Georgia and the Center’s policies and procedures.

The Charge Nurse is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care given to patients.

  • Crash cart checks
  • Quality control checks on Glucometer
  • Daily infection control logs ( room, temp and humidity, refrigerator, scope washroom)
  • Incident and Transfer process
  • Call ins in the absence of the Registered Nurse Manager (RN)
  • Monitor staff levels and understand when to ask for additional staff in the absence of the Registered Nurse Manager (RN)
  • Procedure board – to include patient flow, timeliness of procedure, staff lunches
  • Scan thin charts
  • Finalize charts
  • Post op calls
  • Monitor to ensure that pre-procedure calls are done
  • Fax Batch
  • Balancing patient payment collection with front desk in the absence of Registered Nurse Manager (RN)
  • Ensure that rooms are stocked and cleaned daily
  • Path reports and letters to patients
  • CMS Date Report
