Job Details
We are seeking an Energy Engineer to Manage our rebate & incentive programs administered by the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA) and Utility Companies Rebate Programs. Successful candidates with support stakeholder and project management of company-wide rebate projects, particularly those for NYSERDA, ConEdison, National Grid, and others.

- Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental science/studies, Architectural Engineer, or equivalent
- Authorized to work in the United States
- 3+ years of experience working with NYC Energy Rebate Programs with sustainability or energy efficiency experience. Knowledge of energy efficiency concepts, clean energy, sustainability, carbon emissions, building energy use, public policy initiatives, energy industry market business trends, and rebate/incentive programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with significant expertise in Excel
Duties:
- Managing and submitting program applications, including writing statement of work, energy data submission and necessary forms, photos, and other documentation for NYSERDA and utility companies rebate programs. Document rebate program summaries and periodically notifying the team with updates and helping identify and recommend clients for programs. Support and manage deliverable creation, including technical reports and completion documentation with lead engineer and auditor.
- Working with managers, engineers, auditors, and other staff to gather information and respond to stakeholders regarding project questions, concerns, and guidelines to ensure timely collection of energy data, including but not limited to database entry, requests, and analysis. Managing, scheduling, and conducting client on-boarding calls with programming staff. Assist with managing workflow, and requests for site visits and proposals.
- Managing the influx of new project contracts to ensure accuracy, project scope, and proper recordkeeping. organizing and updating project details in company database, including proactively identifying issues, recommending solutions to improve processes, and communicating with managers regarding project details and billing statuses; and working with managers and bookkeeper to monitor/support proper client billing.
- Identifying opportunities for sales and marketing initiatives by leveraging knowledge of rebate landscape; creating and managing proposals, including stakeholder follow-up; organizing and updating project details in company database; and attending and speaking at stakeholder meetings, conferences, and other events to promote company activities.
- Attending rebate program webinars and events.
