We are seeking a seasoned professional to oversee and manage our engineering and maintenance operations. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in a manufacturing plant. You will be the driving force behind our capital projects, ensuring the efficiency of our manufacturing processes and the safety of our workforce. If you have a strong background in automation, food, frozen, RTE, and ammonia, and are familiar with USDA regulations, this could be the ideal role for you.

This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for directing and coordinating activities related to the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery in a manufacturing plant. You will be the driving force behind our capital projects, ensuring the efficiency of our manufacturing processes and the safety of our workforce. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures and methods while ensuring compliance with USDA regulations.
- Oversee and manage all engineering and maintenance operations, including capital projects and CAPEX.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase process efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment, particularly those involving ammonia (NH4).
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate with other department heads to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certified Professional Engineer (PE)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in the food sector.
- Proven experience in managing capital projects and CAPEX.
- Strong knowledge of USDA regulations, automation, food, frozen, RTE, and ammonia.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computer software and applications related to engineering and maintenance management.
- Proven track record of implementing and managing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification is a plus.
