Are you a hands-on HVAC tech with a knack for computers and electronics? Or maybe you're fresh out of tech school and ready to launch a career in Building Automation Systems (BAS)? If so, this could be your perfect next step.
A nationally recognized mechanical contractor specializing in design/build projects is growing their BAS team in St. Louis! Currently looking for a motivated, entry-level Controls Technician who’s ready to learn, grow, and travel with purpose.
Responsibilities:
A nationally recognized mechanical contractor specializing in design/build projects is growing their BAS team in St. Louis! Currently looking for a motivated, entry-level Controls Technician who’s ready to learn, grow, and travel with purpose.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of BAS/DDC systems (HVAC-focused)
- Work with senior techs to wire, test, and program field devices and controllers
- Interpret HVAC plans, mechanical drawings, and wiring schematics
- Troubleshoot sensors, actuators, and system-level controls
- Travel regionally up to 50% (typically 2-4 day trips) for project-based work
- Receive hands-on training to build your skillset in BAS programming and integration
- 0–2 years of experience in BAS, HVAC controls, or low-voltage electrical work
- OR experienced commercial HVAC service/install techs looking to move into controls
- Strong interest in electronics, computers, and building technology
- Comfortable reading blueprints and working with basic tools and meters
- Self-starter with solid communication and troubleshooting skills
- Must be open to travel and have a valid driver’s license
