Job Details
We are seeking a talented Environmental Law Attorney to join our highly regarded team.
You will be a key player in our Environmental Practice, focusing on environmental law, environmental litigation, and environmental regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of environmental matters, including permitting, compliance, enforcement, and transactional issues related to federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
2. Represent the organization in environmental litigation cases, including the preparation of legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing the organization in court.
3. Work closely with various business units to ensure the organization's compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
4. Conduct legal research and analysis on environmental laws and regulations to ensure the organization's operations are in compliance.
5. Develop and implement strategies to manage and minimize the organization's environmental risks.
6. Negotiate and draft legal documents related to environmental issues, such as permits, agreements, and contracts.
7. Provide training to the organization's employees on environmental laws and regulations.
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental law, environmental litigation, and/or environmental regulatory compliance.
3. Admission to the PA state bar.
4. Strong knowledge and understanding of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in representing organizations in environmental litigation cases.
6. Excellent legal research and writing skills.
7. Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
