Job Details
We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic Engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment.
Responsibilities:
1. Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of heavy machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
2. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with a variety of equipment and machinery.
3. Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement maintenance procedures.
4. Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on machinery.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective equipment.
6. Train and mentor junior mechanics, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the field of equipment mechanics.
8. Participate in on-call rotations to handle emergency repairs or maintenance.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Equipment Mechanic or in a similar role within the Engineering industry.
2. Extensive knowledge and proficiency in handling a wide range of heavy machinery and equipment.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Proven ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and standards.
7. Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy machinery parts.
8. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
9. A degree or certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
10. Certifications from recognized industry bodies would be an added advantage.
