Job Description: Business Central Solution Architect
Responsibilities
Serve as the solution architect and hands-on owner of Business Central (BC).
Configure BC to support finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and project accounting processes.
Translate business requirements into scalable, efficient solutions while prioritizing out-of-the-box functionality.
Oversee light development efforts (AL, extensions) when configuration alone cannot meet requirements.
Develop and maintain documentation for BC standards, configurations, and workflows to support adoption, compliance, and audit requirements.
Partner with business stakeholders to influence process design through expertise and collaboration.
Collaborate with solution architects on integrations (e.g., MES, Power Platform, other enterprise platforms).
Train and support users to maximize adoption and effective use of BC.
Stay current with the BC product roadmap and communicate relevant updates to stakeholders.
Contribute to the long-term ERP strategy, with the potential to lead a small ERP/BC team as the organization continues to scale.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Business Central (or NAV) solution design and implementation.
Proven expertise configuring BC across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and project/project accounting.
Strong understanding of BC development concepts (AL, extensions) and ability to effectively direct developers.
Background in business process design with an emphasis on leveraging standard ERP functionality.
Experience working in high-growth or dynamic environments where systems evolve rapidly.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOX ITGC, audit readiness).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive adoption.
