Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of probate and trust administration documents.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate planning documents.
  • Conduct legal research related to trust and estate matters.
  • Manage and organize client files, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and accurately maintained.
  • Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions to gather necessary information and documentation.
  • Coordinate and assist in the transfer of assets, including real estate, investments, and personal property.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed records of estate and trust transactions.
  • Assist with the preparation of estate tax returns and other tax-related documents.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, court appearances, and client consultations.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, focusing on trust and estate law.
  • Strong knowledge of probate and estate administration procedures.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
