Job Details
We are seeking a mid-level associate to join our Trusts & Estates group in New York City. The role involves drafting wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives; advising on gift, estate, and generation-skipping tax strategies; assisting with estate and trust administration; representing clients in Surrogate's Court proceedings; and coordinating with other practice groups on planning matters tied to real estate and business transactions.
- 3-6 years of focused trusts and estates experience at a law firm (required)
- New York Bar admission (required)
- Hands-on drafting experience: wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and estate administration
- Working knowledge of federal and New York estate, gift, and income tax law
- J.D. from an accredited law school; LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning is a plus
- Must be able to work onsite in New York City
